La Prairie’s latest innovation targets all types of wrinkles, and provides 24-hour day-and-night protection to fight UV induced wrinkles, expression lines and gravity related creases. Like all La Prairie products, the new Line Interception Power Duo comes in a luxurious double-barrelled bottle whose sleek design encases 2 different day and night formulas in separate airless chambers. There is even a switch mechanism at the back that allows you to lock the pumps for ease of traveling – brilliant!
La Prairie Line Interception Power Duo is as close to topical Botox as we can get right now. The day cream is formulated with 3 specialized peptides that work at different stages to minimize muscle contractions that cause expression lines. Of course, this does not work as deeply as an actual Botox injection, and I didn’t find it inhibits my ability to frown or raise an eyebrow, but it definitely smoothened my skin and it is not due to a bunch of silicons. Broad spectrum SPF 30 / PA+++ protection keeps the harmful effects of UVA and infrared rays at bay, preventing UV-induced lines. Full list of ingredients may be found here.
The night cream contains peptides that stimulate collagen and elastin production, and strengthens the extracellular matrix for a more plumped up look. Line Interception Power Duo – Night Cream has been formulated to support proteasome activity, helping to optimize skin renewal by eliminating damaged proteins in the skin. I have been applying only this to my face at night after toner, skipping all my myriad of essences and serums entirely, and have been waking up to perfectly smooth and plumped skin for the past few weeks! The textures of both the day and night creams are lovely, lightweight, silky smooth and quickly absorbed.
The reason I have been obsessed with La Prairie Line Interception Power Duo is really quite simple – it has given me perfect, flawless skin for as long as I have been using it. These past few years, I have been battling with inane acne. And when I cut away all of the other products and relied exclusively on Line Interception Power Duo, all the acne is gone. Of course, this is not an anti-acne product, and I do not recommend this for that purpose at all. My point is just that my skin loves this stuff and for a luxurious product, it is not heavy at all. It is equally suitable as a preventive measure for a 20-something and as an anti-aging treat for a 50-something. When it comes to wrinkles, prevention is far better than cure.
